With 20 years of experience, Sandra is a successful and knowledgeable defense litigator. She focuses her practice on employment law as well as insurance defense, personal injury, construction defect and professional liability. Sandra has extensive experience in many areas of the law, including courtroom litigation, arbitration, mediation and case management.

When facing litigation involving, trucking accidents clients trust the experience and aggressive defense strategies of Sandra. Sandra has been handling transportation cases for over 15 years. Sandra efficiently handles each case to provide resolution. Sandra uses this knowledge to provide clients with a comprehensive defense to reduce or eliminate liability on their behalf, including elements such as safety measures, training programs, and vehicle inspections.

Also, to her experience as a litigation attorney, Sandra possesses over ten years of experience representing cities in various capacities and currently works as a legal consultant to public safety retirement boards, police, fire and personnel appeals boards. She has also served the City of Glendale as their Assistant City Attorney, where she managed all of their litigation for various matters and provided general counsel to police and fire. Litigation included all employment matters, including EEOC position statements; § 1983 civil rights actions, personal injury, premises liability.

General counsel responsibilities to Police, Fire, and Human Resources which included being the legal advisor to Use of Force Board, representation of the City in appeals to Personnel Board, and provided legal opinions to departments as necessary. Successfully defended City in a special action that challenged a municipal Personnel Appeals Board decision.

Sandra has prepared eight successful motions for summary judgment in State and Federal Courts and drafted successful opposition to 9th Circuit Court of Appeals Civil Rights appeal stemming from a successful summary judgment.

Sandra was also the Vice President/Associate Legal Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary for a prominent title and escrow company where she managed and oversaw several areas of employment policies and procedures. She also oversaw corporate compliance of benefit plans, policies and procedures. Managed outside counsel on active litigation. Developed and implemented management skills training program, acted as management coach on numerous subjects, including assisting management through complex employment issues, developed and implemented successful return to work program for workers’ compensation resulting in significant reduction of cost.

Additionally, Sandra has used her impressive experience to develop and implement seminars for organizations and has also been invited to speak at events for various matters.
