Adaugo “Glenda” Duru is a Partner in Resnick & Louis, P.C.’s Houston office and an accomplished litigation attorney with extensive experience in insurance defense, trial advocacy, and complex civil litigation. She represents insurers and their insureds in personal injury and property damage matters throughout Texas state courts, handling cases from inception through resolution and serving as lead counsel in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials. She is known for her strategic case evaluation, efficient docket management, and collaborative approach to litigation planning
Prior to joining Resnick & Louis, Ms. Duru served as House Counsel II for Progressive Insurance Company and previously as a Senior Trial Attorney with Allstate Staff Counsel, where she managed high-exposure first- and third-party insurance defense matters in both state and federal court. Earlier in her career, she worked as an Assistant County Attorney in Harris County’s Child Protection Division, gaining significant trial experience while advocating for children and conducting legal training for state caseworkers.
Ms. Duru is also an Adjunct Professor at Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where she teaches trial advocacy. She earned her Juris Doctor from Thurgood Marshall School of Law and holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Houston.
