Alyssa Cina, Esq. is a seasoned civil litigation attorney with a strong focus on insurance defense. Her legal career began at 19, interning at the Erie County Surrogate’s Court in Buffalo, New York, under the Honorable Judge Barbara Howe, while completing the advanced honors program at the University at Buffalo, earning dual B.A. degrees in Legal Studies and English. Throughout her career, Alyssa has credited Judge Howe’s continued mentorship as a guiding influence in shaping her approach to the law.

She gained hands-on litigation experience as a full-time paralegal in Buffalo, working under Attorney Richard Hall, Esq., where she managed over 250 automobile accident and premises liability cases, handling matters from intake through pre-negotiations. This early exposure provided her with a strong foundation in case strategy, client advocacy, and legal analysis.

Alyssa pursued her J.D. at Nova Southeastern University School of Law, where she distinguished herself academically, earning multiple Book Awards, securing a place on Law Review, and clerking at the Fourth District Court of Appeals under the Honorable Judge Alan Forst. She was also actively involved in the Student Animal Legal Fund and the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division: Law School Division.

Upon admission to the Florida Bar, she was among the first attorneys recruited to launch the first Florida office of Resnick & Louis, P.C., working under the mentorship of Managing Partner Robert Squire, Esq. She contributed to the firm’s expansion, gaining licensure in the Southern District of Florida, the District of Columbia, and New York, allowing her to represent clients across multiple jurisdictions. Through her dedication and legal expertise, she earned partnership in under seven years, making her one of the youngest attorneys to achieve this milestone in firm history.

Alyssa’s practice encompasses all aspects of civil litigation, including pre-suit contract interpretation, case analysis, oral arguments, and appeals. Respected for her litigation skills, meticulous case preparation, and leadership, she remains committed to delivering top-tier legal representation while mentoring junior attorneys and contributing to the firm’s continued success.
