Brendan J. Coughlin is a Partner in the Irvine office of Resnick & Louis, P.C. He has extensive experience in premises liability, insurance defense, governmental claims, bodily injury claims and public entity litigation. His practice currently focuses on civil litigation defense of public and private organizations and individuals in matters of significant exposure.
Brendan has been practicing law in Southern California for over thirty years. He performed his undergraduate work at the University of California, Irvine (B.A., 1981.) He received his law degree from the Western State University College of Law (J.D., 1990), where he earned an American Jurisprudence Award in Legal Research and published in the University newsletter. He received an M.B.A. from the University of California, Irvine Merage School of Business in 2004.
Brendan has previously served as an arbitrator on the California Superior Court panel, and as a member of the Orange County and Riverside County Bar Associations. He has successfully represented numerous individuals and businesses during his legal career both as a general civil litigator, and as an advocate for private, commercial and residential interests. He has also volunteered his time to lecture to entrepreneurial groups regarding new business formation and related statutory issues.
Brendan was born and raised in Southern California. His interests include hiking, American theatre, and guitar building and playing.
