Brian S. Mizell is a Shareholder in the Riverside/Ontario office of Resnick & Louis, P.C. and specializes in suspect and large losses for major insurance carriers throughout the country. Additionally, Brian handles landlord tenant relations, catastrophic injury cases, third party liability, subrogation, professional liability, first party property, general liability, coverage, bad faith defense, SIU, commercial litigation, premises liability, bodily injury, auto liability, and products liability claims. Brian was previously the managing partner of the Inland Empire office of a prominent insurance defense firm for 17 years.
Brian has been nominated three times for Attorney of the Year by The Southern California Chapter of the International Association of Special Investigation Units(IASIU). He won the award and was named Attorney of the Year by the Association in 2015. He is one of the foremost authorities on Examinations Under Oath, having taken more than 3,500 Examinations and drafted more than 2,000 coverage opinions.
Brian received his Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from San Jose State University and his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law. He is admitted to the Southern and Central District of California. Brian’s a member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, Claims Litigation Management, and the Inland Empire Risk Management Association. He has also served as a Board member of the Southern California Fraud Investigators Association.
