Ms. Garcia is a Partner in the Albuquerque, NM office of Resnick & Louis, P.C. Ms. Garcia’s trial practice involves aggressive defense of civil lawsuits in the areas of wrongful death, insurance law, medical malpractice, premises liability, construction defect, industrial and oilfield accidents, and commercial automobile accidents. These matters often involve fatalities, significant injuries, and substantial damage claims. To best protect her client’s interests Ms. Garcia actively prepares each case as if it will proceed to trial. This involves effective communication with clients, detailed discovery, use of experts, motions practice, jury research involving mock juries, and other trial tactics to counter the plaintiff’s bar.
Ms. Garcia attended St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM receiving her B.A. in 2008 and her M.A. in 2009. Ms. Garcia attended law school at the University of New Mexico School of Law, graduating in 2012. While in law school, Ms. Garcia was a member of the Tribal Law Journal and received her Indian Law Certificate. In the summer of 2010, Ms. Garcia completed an internship with New Mexico Supreme Court Justice Michael Vigil when he was on the Court of Appeals bench. She is licensed to practice law in New Mexico and the United States District Court, District of New Mexico.
Prior to joining a civil insurance defense firm, Ms. Garcia was a prosecutor for seven years with her last position being the Chief Deputy District Attorney with the Eighth Judicial District Attorney’s Office. In 2017 she was awarded the Outstanding Prosecutor of the Year Award.
