Dennis M. Ballard is a seasoned Florida-based attorney with over 18 years of diverse legal experience spanning insurance defense, commercial litigation, corporate law, and real estate. He has built a distinguished career representing major insurance companies, financial institutions, real estate investment trusts (REITs), and private clients in complex legal matters across the state.
Dennis has litigated extensively in both state and federal courts, handling a high volume of first- and third-party property claims, PIP, liability, and bodily injury cases. His litigation work includes both pre-suit and trial representation, with a history of successfully managing demanding caseloads for top-tier firms.
In addition to his litigation expertise, Dennis has served as a managing litigation attorney, leading teams of attorneys and support staff overseeing thousands of contested files. His work has involved intricate title issues, federal compliance matters, and complex real estate transactions. His solo practice has focused on corporate and commercial law, construction law, creditor rights, and both residential and commercial real estate—where he has provided counsel from entity formation through litigation and appeals.
Complementing his legal background, Dennis brings executive-level experience in the banking industry, having served as Regional Lending Executive and President of Corporate/Commercial Banking for National City Corp. In that role, he spearheaded business development, managed lending portfolios, and directed legal and financial strategies across Central and North Florida.
Dennis holds a J.D. with a concentration in banking, real estate, and corporate law from Barry University School of Law. He also earned an MBA with concentrations in real estate, finance, and quantitative theory from Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College, and a dual BS/BA in Computer Science and Finance from Florida Southern College.
