Heather L. Winkles is a Partner at Resnick & Louis in the Dallas office. Her practice focuses on a broad range of litigation matters, including insurance defense, transportation, professional liability, premises liability, and commercial disputes, in state and federal courts.
For several years, Heather has been selected a Rising Star by Super Lawyers. This honor is attained by the top 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40 in Texas. She has also been recognized as a Top Attorney by Texas Monthly Magazine.
Prior to joining Resnick & Louis, Heather was in-house counsel for the largest, publicly traded company in rendering and a leading producer in renewable energy. She strategically handled investigative, administrative, and enforcement proceedings before local, state, and federal agencies. Heather skillfully managed litigation, including employment, transportation, premises, tortious interference, commercial, and environmental matters. She also prudently advised leadership on risk, contracts, and regulatory issues. Heather began her legal career representing financial institutions in collateral recovery in state courts and workouts and restructuring in bankruptcy courts, as well as insurance defense.
Heather was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She received her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin. She received her law degree from South Texas College of Law.
Outside of the courtroom, Heather enjoys spending time with her family and labrador retriever.
