Ian Corzine is a Partner in the Scottsdale and Los Angeles offices of Resnick & Louis, P.C. and has extensive experience in construction defect, bad faith and extra contractual defense, directors and officers, general insurance defense, construction defect, cyber liability, and commercial litigation. Ian works closely with client representatives to achieve strategic and cost-effective resolutions to disputes. He believes in deep preparation and tactical negotiation to accomplish his clients’ litigation goals, ensuring they remain fully informed by making complex legal concepts easy to understand.
Prior to joining Resnick & Louis, Ian was the Managing Partner of West Corzine, LLP, a California litigation firm he led for nearly eight years. There, he managed a team of attorneys and staff while handling a diverse caseload of insurance coverage, bad faith, general liability, and construction matters. His experience spans all phases of litigation, having taken and defended hundreds of depositions and handled numerous matters through resolution.
Ian’s background also includes distinguished public service. He served as a federal judicial law clerk to the Honorable Peter A. Nowinski, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of California, where he drafted recommendations and orders on a wide range of civil and criminal matters. He also served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of California. Before law school, Ian was a California Executive Fellow and a Special Assistant to the Governor’s Chief of Staff. Most recently, Ian served as CEO and General Counsel for a successful legal document preparation firm, where he managed all aspects of business operations.
While in law school at McGeorge School of Law, Ian graduated with Great Distinction and was elected to the Order of the Coif. He also served on the Law Review. In his spare time, Ian enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, playing pickleball, and computer coding. Ian is licensed to practice law in California, including all U.S. federal district courts in California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
