Jorge Wolfgang Rodriguez-Sierra is a trial attorney and litigator with a strong track record of success, first-chair trial experience, including numerous reported jury verdicts. He represents clients in complex commercial disputes, arbitration proceedings, and appellate matters in both federal and state courts.
Jorge’s current practice includes representing individuals, corporations, limited liability companies and other businesses, national retailers, insurance companies, and third-party administrators in complex business disputes. He litigates insurance defense and insurance coverage matters and defends professional liability and errors and omissions claims asserted against professionals and corporate leaders in their individual executive capacities. Further, Jorge represents all types of medical professionals and entities, including physicians, physician assistants, nurses, pediatricians, obstetricians, dentists, psychologists, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, hospitals, nursing homes and in a wide range of issues regarding medical malpractice, healthcare defense, including elder care abuse, defense of negligence actions in the hospital setting, as well other complex litigation and commercial claims.
Jorge successfully litigates catastrophic personal injury, complex breach of contract, corporate law, and governance and fraud claims. He defends and prosecutes general liability, negligent security, product liability, intellectual property, dram shop, commercial transportation and surety lawsuits. His pugnacious style coupled with his tireless and thorough preparation has contributed to his reputation and outstanding results at pre-trial proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and both jury and non-jury trials.
Jorge has won jury trials involving lawsuits including, but not limited to, premises liability, motor vehicle accident and general liability cases.
Jorge received his Juris Doctor degree from Ave Maria School of Law in 2016. This was preceded by a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Peru State College in 2013, where he was on the Dean’s List. While in law school, he served as a member of the Vice President of the Moot Court Board, Honor Board, Student Bar Association Senator and Vice President all three years, and was executive editor for the law school’s scholastic publication, The Gavel, where he authored and edited nearly three dozen scholarly articles. Following his graduation from law school, he has been a partner at prominent law firms in Florida, and was the managing attorney for a large personal injury firm overseeing the southwest Florida offices.
Jorge is admitted to practice before all Florida state courts and various federal courts, including the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He is also admitted before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida. Jorge has handled appellate matters before Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal and has successfully argued appeals resulting in favorable rulings.
Jorge’s competitive drive and commitment to excellence were cultivated from an early age. He began competing in athletics at the age of four and went on to become a four-time state champion in swimming and football during high school. Jorge’s public speaking and courtroom performance skills were similarly forged by exploring an interest in acting. Throughout grade school, during the winter months when he was not playing sports, Jorge pursued an early career in acting and was cast in leading roles on stage at various theaters, modeled for marketing campaigns for Ray Ban, as well as appearing as a cast member in two seasons on the UPN television program Do You Believe in Angels.
Jorge is state-certified firefighter and emergency medical responder. Jorge uses his first-hand experience and training as a first responder when analyzing cases involving personal injury and medical malpractice.
Outside of his legal practice, Jorge enjoys spending time with his wife, Shelby, and their three children. Together, they enjoy mountain biking, rock climbing, and weight training. Jorge enjoys coaching his children’s youth sports teams.
