Julie is a seasoned litigation attorney with over 15 years of diverse legal experience spanning personal injury, civil litigation, and appellate advocacy. Most recently, she litigated a wide range of personal injury matters—including automobile accidents, medical malpractice, fertility fraud, and wrongful death claims. In this role, she independently managed a full caseload, drafted legal briefs and mediation materials, made court appearances, conducted depositions, and supervised a paralegal case manager in pre-litigation settlement negotiations.
Prior to that, she operated a successful solo practice under the Law Office of Julie Ruiz-Sierra, focusing on appellate representation of indigent prisoners through the Central California Appellate Program. Over time, the practice expanded to include general civil litigation, particularly real estate and land use matters involving CEQA, administrative mandamus, and development disputes. Her practice also encompassed family law, landlord-tenant disputes, and criminal defense, offering both full and limited-scope representation.
Known for her sharp legal research and writing skills, courtroom advocacy, and strategic case management, Julie brings a thoughtful, client-focused approach to litigation. She is dedicated to achieving effective legal outcomes, whether through negotiation, motion practice, or trial.
