Mark Egan McGuinness II is an experienced attorney with extensive litigation experience in civil litigation, insurance defense, and criminal defense. His practice focuses on defending clients in personal injury, premises liability, and contractual disputes, as well as handling discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
Mark has represented clients in a wide range of legal matters, including contract disputes, unlawful detainers, and restraining orders. He previously founded Yes Legal of San Diego, where he gained valuable experience handling civil litigation, criminal defense, and general legal consulting.
Mark earned his Juris Doctor with Latin Honors from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he was awarded the Jefferson Medal of Honor and CALI Watkins Awards for excellence in Torts, Civil Procedure, and Legal Research. During law school, he served as Editor of the Thomas Jefferson Law Review and as a Teaching Assistant for Torts and Contracts.
Beyond his legal education, Mark holds advanced degrees from National University, including a Master of Arts in Human Behavioral Psychology (2020) and an MBA with a specialization in Marketing (2022). He completed his undergraduate studies at Northern Arizona University, where he focused on Political Science with an emphasis on Race and Gender Studies, alongside a minor in Sociology.
Committed to public service, Mark has worked with Veterans Village of San Diego, providing pro bono legal assistance to veterans in need. Throughout his legal career, he has remained dedicated to offering free legal aid and assistance to underserved communities and others in need.
Mark was born in Connecticut and has a deep appreciation for travel and the outdoors. He has visited all 48 contiguous states and enjoys taking hikes, being outdoors with his young children, reading, and road trips.
