Neelam K. Sanghara is an Associate in the California office of Resnick & Louis, P.C. Her practice focuses on insurance defense, bodily injury matters, liability analysis, insurance coverage issues, and civil litigation. She has experience evaluating liability and damages, reviewing insurance coverage, analyzing medical records, assessing litigation risk, and developing strategies for the resolution of disputed claims.
Prior to joining Resnick & Louis, Neelam practiced personal injury law, where she handled a broad range of matters involving motor vehicle collisions, premises liability claims, uninsured and underinsured motorist disputes, policy-limits matters, public entity claims, minors’ claims, and cases involving contested liability and causation issues. Her experience includes evaluating medical treatment records, insurance coverage questions, damages exposure, settlement strategy, and pre-litigation case management. She worked closely with clients throughout every stage of the claims process, providing guidance, support, and clear communication while helping them navigate often difficult and unfamiliar circumstances. Neelam regularly collaborated with medical providers, investigators, insurance professionals, case managers, and litigation teams to move matters toward efficient resolution while ensuring clients remained informed and supported.
Neelam also served as a Deputy District Attorney in California, where she managed a high-volume caseload and regularly appeared in court on behalf of the People of the State of California. In that role, she reviewed and analyzed evidence, prepared witnesses, litigated motions and hearings, negotiated case resolutions, and worked closely with law enforcement agencies and court personnel. Her prosecutorial background provides valuable courtroom experience and a practical perspective on case evaluation, advocacy, and dispute resolution.
Before entering the legal profession, Neelam held executive leadership responsibilities within the transportation and logistics industry, where she managed business operations, regulatory compliance matters, insurance-related issues, personnel oversight, and client relations. This experience provides her with a practical understanding of the operational and business challenges frequently faced by businesses, employers, and insureds.
Neelam earned her Juris Doctor from Humphreys University Drivon School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from California State University, Stanislaus. During her undergraduate studies, she completed extensive coursework in anatomy, physiology, biology, chemistry, and other health sciences as part of a pre-medical academic track. In addition, she is a Certified Medical Assistant, providing her with a strong foundation in medical terminology, healthcare documentation, treatment records, and injury-related issues. Her combined legal and medical background is particularly valuable in matters involving bodily injury claims, medical causation, damages analysis, and the evaluation of complex medical records.
A lifelong resident of California’s Central Valley, Neelam values community involvement and takes pride in serving the region she calls home. She enjoys building meaningful relationships within the communities she serves and believes that professionalism, communication, and genuine client advocacy are essential to effective legal representation.
Outside of her legal practice, Neelam enjoys cooking, kayaking, painting, drawing, and spending time with family and friends.
