Robert is a native New Mexican and graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law. While still in law school, he founded, owned, and operated a successful restaurant and bar in New Mexico. Robert has also founded and operated businesses in the hospitality sector in both the U.S. and Turkey, providing him with firsthand experience in entrepreneurship, regulations, operations, and business management.
Robert began his legal career with a respected national litigation firm in Albuquerque, where he represented corporations, manufacturers, contractors, transportation and shipping companies, and clients in the energy sector. His practice is focused on complex, high-exposure matters involving catastrophic personal injury and property damage, fires and explosions, product liability, construction defect, oil and gas operations, propane and gas systems, transportation accidents, and wrongful death claims. He has managed all phases of litigation, from early investigation and case strategy through discovery, expert coordination, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Robert is particularly experienced in technically sophisticated matters requiring close collaboration with engineers, forensic specialists, fire investigators, and other subject-matter experts. Robert aims to provide clients with practical, business-oriented counsel designed to mitigate risk, manage exposure, and achieve efficient resolutions.
Drawing on both his legal and entrepreneurial backgrounds, Robert has a deep understanding of the operational and commercial challenges that businesses face. He approaches legal matters with an emphasis on strategic problem-solving, risk management, and protecting long-term business objectives.
In his free time, Robert enjoys traveling, hiking, art, servicing and repairing mechanical watches and spending time with his two dachshunds, Mavi and Muz.
