Sam Guthrie is an experienced attorney specializing in civil litigation and insurance defense. Prior to joining Resnick & Louis, Sam worked for State Farm in Sacramento, California.
Prior to State Farm, Sam spent more than five years at Kershaw, Cook & Talley, first as a law clerk and then as an associate attorney. There, he gained extensive litigation experience, handling case preparation, discovery, and courtroom advocacy across a wide range of civil matters.
Earlier in his career, he interned with the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office, supporting attorneys in both misdemeanor and felony cases and strengthening his commitment to effective advocacy.
Sam earned his B.A. in Philosophy with a Pre-Law focus from Sonoma State University and went on to attend Golden Gate University School of Law.
Sam is licensed to practice law in the state of California.
