Scott Gonzalez is a partner at Resnick & Louis PC as part of a multi attorney team. His practice focuses on complex construction defect litigation.
Mr. Gonzalez has extensive complex litigation experience, including representing individuals, businesses, and homeowner associations in state courts throughout California. Mr. Gonzalez has been very successful in positioning cases for favorable resolution for his clients through the alternative dispute resolution process. As coverage counsel for major insurance companies, he has provided opinions on the duty to defend and indemnify and identify covered damages. He conducted several seminars regarding the duty to defend suspended corporations and the inherent conflict between the California and Civil Tax Code in attempting to do so.
In 1995 Mr. Gonzalez obtained his J.D. from the Southwestern School of Law. He also obtained his B.A. from the California State University Northridge graduating cum laude, where he also received his teaching credential for his career prior to practicing law.
In his free time, Mr. Gonzalez enjoys spending time with his family and two sons. He enjoys mountain biking, basketball, golf and frisbee golf.
