Tanya Henkels Fields is Partner at the Dallas office of Resnick & Louis, PC, where her primary practice area is in insurance defense, with 25 years of experience handling personal injury, premises liability, property, auto, products liability, wrongful death/catastrophic injury, UM/UIM matters, subrogation, construction defect, mass tort and commercial litigation. She has handled large dockets as well as high value claims in the related asbestos and silica exposure, thimerisol, medical clinical mass exposure, FEMA/Formaldehyde trailer Federal Multi-District Litigation and auto accidents. She has tried dozen of cases in her career, including being on national trial teams for Chrysler and Flour International.
Tanya was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1996 from Iowa State University, where she was a 4-year varsity award winning student-athletic, dean’s list, All-Big-8 for both academics and athletics, and Editor of Cy’s Eye (student-athlete newspaper). Tanya then received her Juris Doctor degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1999, graduating near the top of her class. While in law school, she was a member of the Board of Barristers and National Moot Court Team, National Runner-Up in Moot Court in 1999 with recognition as the Best Oralist at several national competition during 1997-1999, Property Tutor, and member of the Phi Delta Phi (“Honors”) Legal Fraternity.
Prior to Resnick and Louis, for over a decade Tanya ran her own law firm specializing in complex matters including defense of personal injury death cases, construction defect, and contract claims focusing on trial preparation and trying cases.
Tanya is licensed to practice law in Texas.
