William S. Caldwell is a Partner in the Orange County office of Resnick & Louis, P.C. William is an experienced litigation attorney, having obtained successful results for his clients over the span of 25 years. William primarily practices in the areas of general liability defense, first party uninsured/underinsured motorist claims, and employment law. Prior to joining Resnick & Louis, P.C., William spent years as a senior attorney with prominent insurance defense firms throughout Southern California.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California at Los Angeles and obtained his juris doctor degree from the University of Arizona, College of Law. Upon graduation, he clerked for the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office before deciding on private practice.
Mr. Caldwell has represented business clients of all sizes in complex tort, products liability, and general negligence actions. Additionally, he has represented clients in litigation involving employment, and wage and hour claims.
He has extensive experience in matters involving first party and third party insurance defense litigation (both personal and commercial lines), catastrophic bodily injury, products liability, employment, class actions, and business litigation matters, from inception to trial or arbitration.
Mr. Caldwell also brings an approach to client interaction dedicated to explaining the processes and consistent, in-depth client communication about case status and developments. His diverse background has served him well in litigating a broad range of legal disciplines and has always geared his practice toward the client’s style of risk management; saving millions of dollars in risk exposure.
William is a native Californian who is happily married to his grade school sweetheart, and enjoys spending his free time with their children, friends and pets. He enjoys traveling, visiting the California coast, attending sporting events, and music concerts.
